PANSHAMARATHANALIL

Sreenivasan and Padmapriya is again teaming up for the new film ‘Pachamarathanalil’. The movie which has already started its shooting at Palakkad marks the comeback of Padmapriya to Mollywood after a gap of six months. Her last release was Adoor;s 'Nalu Penunngal' which got rave reviews. In ‘Pachamarthanalil’ Sreenivasan is appearing in the role of a cartoonist Sachi while Padmapriya is Snu , a government officer. The others in the cast includes Lalu Alex, Lal, Nassar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Bijukuttan, Sukumari,and Sona Nair. Directed and scripted by debutante Liyo Thaddhevoos, the film is produced by G Sureshkumar in the banner of Revathy Kalamandhir.

MEENA in KAUSELAN

The cast of Kuselan, Rajinikanth film which is a remake of the Malayalam Katha Paryumbol is almost finalized.

The pivotal roles will be done by Rajinikanth and Pasupathy and there have been varied rumors regarding the lady leads in the film.

Many leading names were discussed but not confirmed. As regards super star's heroine, Nayanthara turned lucky for the third consecutive time and bagged the role.

Now for the roleof Pasupathy's wife, Tabu and Simran were considered but they were not able to givetheir consent due totheir prior commitments.

In the original version Meena was the wife of Sreenivasan and the mother of three children.

FORGET TO TELL

Biju Menon and Arun will share the lead in the film directed by debutante Arun S Bhasker. Titled 'Parayaan Marannathu’, the movie will feature Lakshmi Sharma in the female lead. Produced by V S Sheeja in the banner of Nandhanam Films, the scripts for the film will be by Shabari Shankar. Expected to start its shoot in the last day of this month, the film will also feature Madhupal, Suraj Venjaaramoodu, Mala Aravindan, Kalarenjini and KPAC Lalitha. The music department of the film will be handled by Poovachal Khadhar and Arun Siddharth.

Blessy’s Calcutta News is a slickly designed film that unfortunately has very little to say. Well intentioned, but astoundingly unexciting, the film is a major disappointment in terms of content, concerns and convictions.

Ajith Thomas (Dileep) is a Senior Correspondent with Calcutta News who inadvertently runs into a Malayali couple, Hari (Indrajith) and Krishnapriya (Meera Jasmine), on the bustling streets of Kolkata, in the midst of a hectic Kali Puja shoot. When Hari is discovered murdered a few days later, Ajith along with Krishna, embarks on a perilous journey that would decidedly change both their lives forever.
